Located just 2 miles west of the Las Vegas Strip, Spring Valley is an unincorporated town consisting mostly of housing subdivisions. In the mid 1970’s, Pardee Homes purchased the land that was once Stardust International Raceway, with the intent to develop a housing community. In May of 1981, the residents solicited the Clark County Commission to make their neighborhood an unincorporated township. Spring Valley is made up primarily of housing subdivisions, with strip malls along the boulevards that connect the suburb to the Strip.
Spring Valley is no stranger to celebrities. Tennis players Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf call Spring Valley home, as well as other famous names like Carrot Top and the Sacramento Kings owners, George and Gavin Maloof. Among the alumni of the local Durango High School are BMX celebrity T.J. Lavin, actress Cerina Vincent, and NASCAR drivers Kurt and Kyle Busch.
The residents of Spring Valley enjoy the quiet solitude of a suburban neighborhood, with a close proximity to the excitement of the Strip. The local strip malls provide a variety of shopping and dining experiences for the community, and the Desert Breeze Park is located in the center of the town for those who enjoy the outdoors and a moment of quiet away from the hustle and bustle of Las Vegas. Living in Spring Valley truly brings the best of both worlds together; suburbia and big city living.
